There is no single translation for Aio - but simply it means 'Join us' or ' Come together' and here is the opportunity to get together and share authentic Mediterranean cuisine from Italy, Spain and North Africa. The menus have been carefully devised and prepared with Char-gilled meats and fish, marinades from old family recipes from Sardinia and Naples, and freshly cooked pasta served with unique and varied combinations. Fresh breads, Brushettas,Olives, Spiced Sardines and Aio's own Fregola Sarda ( a toasted giant CousCous) are only part of the reminder that here the food is not only very good but it will be an experience to remember

AIO, RESTAURANT, BAR & GRILL
Restaurateurs Mauro Matta and Salvo Cuomo have combined their 15 years experience in Bath's most popular restaurants to provide a new take on a traditional Italian food. They explained why they were excited about this new venture:
"We share a passion for entertaining and enjoy seeing people come together socially over dinner and wine. Customers at our restaurant will experience fresh, simple flavours and excellent, locally sourced, quality ingredients beautifully cooked."
Mauro and Salvo have gone back to their roots to devise a menu that has it's origins in the fresh flavours of Sardinia and Naples. Salvo is especially keen to introduce Bath to the African influences on Mediterranean food and these flavours are a prominent feature of the menu.

As well as opening for dinner, Aió will be open every day from 9.30am serving drinks, tapas and aperitifs. An extensive wine list selected to complement the menu will also be available. Look out for the special Home made Marinades that are made on the premises. Used with the Brushette and in the starters they are made using traditional recipes from Sardinia, pickled in vinegar and offer a rich flavour to a wide variety of dishes.
