"Vincent Webb the landlord has created a pub that is well known for good food and a great atmosphere. Turn up for a drink anytime but please remember to book for evening meals to ensure a table - otherwise you may find there is nowhere to eat! There is a good range of British fare to eat, all his meat is sourced from the award winning local butcher, Paul Loader and the Steaks are a real favourite but there is food for everyone here including a vegetarian selection and great curries.
Vincent has worked hard to create a pub that locals treat as a home and visitors always return to. The pub is part of the local community and offers music evenings once a week where the pub is always full and welcoming to all - see further details for more information"

ENTERTAINMENT AT THE SOMERSET WAGON
The weekly musical entertainment nights are popular events at The Somerset Wagon. Normally on Sunday evenings, they play host to local musicians and vocalists, whose talents range from opera and jazz to mainstream rock and pop.
Another great favourite are the quiz nights. Every 1st Monday of the month (starting from September til April), pit your wits against each other for a bottle of wine or two!!
